Dangerous identity expeditions
Josh Harper Bio
Also at college, I began reading Wild at Heart by John Eldredge. This book inspired me and aroused new life in me like no other book before. God has given me so much revelation through Wild at Heart and through Keystone Church, both of which have changed my life dramatically. I believe I was created to be a man wild at heart and fully alive. I now know who I am in Christ and have the courage to fulfill His purpose in me.
My journey in outdoor adventure also began at a young age. My dad would take my family on canoe trips down the Delaware River, the first of which took place when I was 5 years old. Since then, I have taken hundreds of trips down various rivers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I would consider myself an expert canoeist because of this experience, but that’s not all I like to do. The canoeing gave me an appreciation and desire to explore God’s creation. So after meeting Joe Baker, I got more into backpacking and climbing. I have taken several trips into the Adirondack mountains of New York and climbed at the Shawgunks and Seneca Rocks in West Virginia. I have also backpacked into the Wind River Range of Wyoming and climbed several peaks in the Cirque of the Towers.
Some other interests of mine include kayaking, mountain biking, snowboarding, soccer, guitar, creation science, and juggling. I play guitar and sing on a worship team at my church. I am also director of the God and Science Center, a ministry of my church. But of all my accomplishments, what I want to be known for is being a good husband and father. My family is my first priority and the greatest call on my life.
